Hunt Tekapo is located at 48a D’Archiac Drive (State Highway 8 next to Balmoral Farmyard) in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand 7945.

Our hunting safaris and tours take place on Mt Hay and Balmoral stations, which together cover an area of over 50,000 acres on the East and West sides of Lake Tekapo, South Island.

Our small animal hunting safaris start at 8 am and run through to 10 pm.

At Hunt Tekapo, we understand that weather can be unpredictable. However, most of our tours will still proceed in bad weather conditions.

Most of our tours will proceed regardless of the weather conditions. However, if the weather is bad, we offer a 100% refund. For cancellations made for other reasons, please refer to our cancellation policy on our website or contact us directly for more information.

We want to make sure that everyone has a chance to experience the thrill of hunting at Hunt Tekapo. Our small animals hunting safari is suitable for families with children aged 12 and above, as long as an adult accompanies them.

We want you to be comfortable and prepared for your hunting safari. That’s why we provide warm jackets.

Yes, Hunt Tekapo is located on private land. We farm Balmoral and Mt Hay Stations which have a combined area of over 50,000 acres on the East and West sides of Lake Tekapo, South Island, New Zealand. Our farm extends from the town north on both sides of Lake Tekapo and extends up to over 2000m on the eastern shores of the lake.
